Take a look at the kite on the perch, he jumps onto the back of the other kite that is almost out of the sight of the camera on the bottom left of the screen. They then both fall to the ground.

Listen to the sound the kites makes when attacked. This is the same sound the kites make when the lock talons and spiral down towards the ground.
